_______________________________________________________________________________ Jubbie Upstairs Entertainment "Lyrically and spiritually Jubbie is thrilling the world with his refreshing voice and domineering style. Jubbie's charm and charisma on and off stage are mesmerizing. On stage, he's the ultimate entertainer, leaving his audiences screaming for more. Off stage, he is professional, intelligent, spiritual, and strictly down-to-earth. Jubbie was born in Kingston, Jamaica. From a young boy, he had the gift of music and lyrics. Jubbie says, "Reggae music is a form of comfort for me, if me have a problem me just sing." Most of his songs contain lyrics with universal messages about the trials and tribulations of everyday life. Jubbie's style quickly gained respect in the States and caught the attention of roots reggae sensation the Wailing Souls. Shortly after their first encounter, the Souls invited Jubbie to join them on a national tour for the Disney movie "Cool Runnings." This tour also included: Super Cat, Diana King, Tiger, Tony Rebel, Worl-A-Girl, and a host of other entertainers. At the conclusion of the tour, Jubbie was invited to stay on with the Wailing Souls, with whom he is currently working with. His youthful and energetic performance style compliments the harmonic roots music of the Souls perfectly. Jubbie's solo career has given fruit to such lively releases as Can't Stop Love Yuh, Earthquake (with reggae songstress Wendy Shaw), and Prayer To The World. He has been entertaining North America from coast to coast, developing strong followings in Chicago, Los Angeles, and many other cities. He has performed in some of the most prestigious clubs and stages in California. Including, Southern California's largest reggae concert, the Raggamuffin's Bob Marley Day Festival held annually at the Long Beach Arena. At that show alone, Jubbie gained the recognition of over 25,000 fans. Jubbie's credits extend beyond live performances. He was asked to create a specialized jingle for the number one reggae radio show in Southern California, the "Get Up Stand Up Show" on 92.3 the Beat. Every Sunday thousands of listeners tune in to hear his welcoming freestyle chant, played several times throughout the show. Jubbie is also writing a book, The Unedited Copy of the Truth, about the significance of reggae music, the struggle, and the perseverance. The book, now in its final stages, has sparked interest from the reggae community in Jamaica and the States alike. The book is being transformed into a documentary which will include live performances, interviews, and raw footage from Jamaica. Jubbie constantly surprises his fans with his actions to take music to another level. His new album "Heart of Love" will be an enticing mix of dancehall, roots ballads, and harmonic duets including several tracks with special guest Junior Reid. It will be released in the summer of 1997. For Booking Information Contact Upstairs Entertainment at (310) 558-5818 Respectfully,
