The time was mature for Jamaica Papa Curvin to take the roots upfront again. Papa Curvin, born in 1943 in Harewood, Jamaica is one of the legendary ambassadors of Jamaican Reggae. After ten years of roots rock reggae, after touring over Europe north and south, after a period of being a singing drummer, he give up his drumsticks and presents himself as a powerful and spiritual frontman. His new formation out of Jamaica impress with a performance through Reggae-Sounds, Dub, Dancehall and Drum'n Bass, which marks out the mixture of his new album. "World is Dub" features mainly producers like Mystic Dan, a act out of the Dancehall and Ragga DJ scene. The album is mixed and mastered in Kingston, Jamaicaat Music Works. Already at the age of 18 Jamaica Papa Curvin was one of the most talented drummers of Jamaica, who was awarded the legendary Band-Poll of Jamaica, with his band. After a few years playing on Luxury-cruise ships, he decided to stay over in Europe. Already after a short while he was one of the most wanted studio-drummers on the continent, that has recorded and toured with many major acts, such as Boney M. 1981 he began to force his own musically projects and founded in 1984 the Jamaica Papa Curvin Band and the Reggae Center in Hamburg, Germany. This Center grows up to a meeting point for all artist in Germany and for the youths around the world, Papa Curvin is still a teacher in life.
