TB: I.l be opening up for you, I.m so excited about tha The Yellow Wall Dub Squad will be backing you up, is that correct? SC: Uh huh, um hum. TB: And can you tell our listeners a little bit about yourself? SC: Well I.m Mother Culture, Sister Carol. They call me the Original Roots Daughter from Kingston Jamaica, Black Cinderella. I'.ve been performing now professionally for the past 25 years. TB: Wonderful. SC: I.m just takin. my music across the world, ya know? Sharing the music and teaching, ya know, that which I know. Ya know, always a positive message might it be social, political, educational, ya know, spiritual, but it always be positive. So I invite all my friends, my fans, and my new fans to come on out to the show tomorrow night so that they can experience the wonderful cultural experience. TB: Yeah respect, respect. wondering what other words of wisdom would you have for young aspiring female artists out there? SC: I would just tell them just, ya know, let them know the sky is the limit. Don.t ever limit themselves, once you have a talent and you have something to contribute just step on up to the plate, try to utilize all opportunities ya get to get it out there. Don.t let anyone tell you you can.t do this or that because you.re a woma This is a man and a woman.s world. TB: Thank Jah. SC: And we'.re capable of doing anything and everything once we got the opportunity. TB: Nice, and how are you feeling recently about all the political strife that we.ve been experiencing in our last electin? SC: Well, ya know, all I.m saying is that we are the people hopefully if we can get it together we'.ll make it a better world for tomorrow.s people BUT with what.s happening itd oesn.t seem to be heading that wa So we, ya know, express our feelings through the music we try to stay away from things like war and discrimination and hate and ya know, people want to destroy the universe. So, ya know, that.s what we talk about in the music so people can identify and, ya know, recognize what we.re talkinbout. TB: And focus on being righteous and conscious and positive? SC: Yeah mon!
