Female Ska veteran Hortense Ellis has died.

RJR News understands the singer, who often performs with her brother Alton 
Ellis, died at the Kingston Public Hospital Thursday afternoon after a short 
illness.

Among her popular songs are Can I Change My Mind, People Make the World Go 
Round, Willow Tree, and a version of Breakfast in Bed.

Hortense Ellis' last major appearance was on the summer show of the Heineken 
Startime series...............
